River Embley Anchorage

The RACQ Capricorn Rescue Helicopter responded this morning to a ship located at Anchorage, off the coast of Gladstone.

The cargo ship "River Embley" had experienced an engine fire, which resulted in 3 ship personnel who had attended the fire, suffering breathing difficulties and nausea as a result of smoke inhalation.

The RACQ Capricorn Rescue Helicopter landed on the vessel and the injured men were assessed by an Intensive Care Paramedic. 2 of the men, a 35 year old and a 22 year old, were flown directly to Gladstone Hospital for observation and further testing.
