"At the end of the event there will be an opportunity for the general public to get up close with 'Flipper' and all the emergency service vehicles and crews that make a difference to peoples lives on a daily basis."
The Rescue 300 Team have been kept very busy over the past week with the search and rescue for three seamen lost from a fishing trawler in cyclonic seas off the CQ coast.
"It's this type of rescue situation that highlights the versatility of the service and capabilities of the men who dedicate themselves to such a worthwhile cause." said Kay Becker.
Demonstrations will also include winching a stretcher and bambi bucket (fire fighting) display in addition to safety displays by the Snake Handler and EPIRB demonstrations by the Yeppoon Water Police. The day will also host a variety of entertainment, market stalls as well as prizes and giveaways.
